janitor story

Where do I get my tea today ?
Ipsento on Western?
or Bridgeport Coffee Company on Morgan?
they all suck but I will be passing by
(no parking)
these boutique coffee shops
too cheap to buy houses next door, demolish them and have parking
Ipsento has the same crowd as Sip
you can live with the newcomers if they don’t show the content of their  Hamburger brains
introduction of Sushi to America
just like tea and coffee about 15/20 years ago is not helping much
they try at least to be civilized
I remember when I build these condos on Ashland and Irving park and put bidets in every master bath
this sophisticated girl with her sophisticated boyfriend show up,
She enters the bath:
– why did you put second toiled in the bathroom?
Her boyfriend turns red on his face.
but I am nice to Hamburgers, male and female.
– I don’t know, I will check with the plumber. He was Polish.
She was an executive in a well known company.
I would not be licking pussies in that company even  if I were a janitor.
Anyway – I didn’t like construction
Interior design in Bucktown was fun, but only if I built the house
these newcomers don’t even know why it is called Bucktown
because if you lived your Italian immigrant life in Cabrini Green
(before Irish have decided to fuck up Italians with African Americans the democratic way)
this is where you needed to go to watch elks procreate and eat grass
National Geographic moments
so Italian Village is special to me – it is like a ghost town of refugees from Cabrini Green
not elk’s playground
but you can’t trust people there
Clown was there
others
there even is this guy who killed his partner
soldier in a mob
he loves coffee
stops by
You can’t trust people around here
if you asked me

ps
Starbucks spent 80 million dollars last year
on a campaign NOT TO LABEL GMOs in US.
STARBUCKS are my enemy.
Starbucks on Ogden and Grand would be so convenient.
I pass by all the time but Starbucks are traitors. :)
Can’t buy from the enemy. Even if they have parking.

Some history of coffee houses. When Poles saved Vienna from the Turks in 1683,  they got all the loot of Turkish camp.
Including sacks of coffee grains that Turkish soldiers used to get hyper before battles.
First Vienna coffee shop was opened by a Polish man and a  spy (james Bond, but real), who claimed the bags.
Jerzy Franciszek Kulczycki.
But Americans are catching up fast. They drink coffee like horses and don’t understand you don’t drink coffee for nothing.
You drink coffee for a battle. That’s why I drank Earl Grey, didn’t I?
Earl – a Scandinavian word – is Jarl in Polish.
There is a book about my ancestor. His name was Jarl…The Something of Something. He had to fight Vikings for the King. They were pesky creatures.
They didn’t drink coffee before their battles. They were getting high on some plant whose name is hidden in an English word berserk. It comes from it.
But Danish Vikings had to ally with Poles to take London for Canute The Great. Danes were infantry, Poles were cavalry of the campaign. Germans took it from Danes at Hastings in 1066.
That’s why English is really a language of German peasants with a lot of French in it (added later) to make that language a little more usable.
So what I am saying is that there was a time in history when Slavic Vikings and Danish Vikings were doing extraordinary things together. Norwegian Vikings could only look at them with disbelief.
How great they worked together. Shakespeare, while writing Hamlet, was influenced by stories of these times. Hence Polonius and motive of Hamlet traveling to fight Poles. We had good days and bad days but there was definitely something rotten in the Kingdom of Denmark.
I am sure Holland was part of Netherlands at the time. And from Netherlands to Denmark is like from Washington State to Northern California ( my favorite US city is San Francisco in Summer but Kirkwood in winter doesn’t  hurt). It is all good.

Mozart loved Vienna coffee houses.
